Study of Factors Affecting the Copper Ore Leaching Process

This paper provides an overview of hydrometallurgical copper extraction studies in which liquid technology has been used with four deposits different compositions. The sulfuric acid consumption rate and efficiency, are dependent on the initial content forms calcium compounds other impurities ore samples, were calculated, results presented herein. It was established that during leaching process, silicate alkaline earth metals, addition to magnesium carbonate compounds, would affect levels consumption, thereby actively lowering acidity environment. Moreover, these could partially sorb ions from solutions. Thus, analysis waste samples showed residual is mainly contained form complex complexes. presence divalent iron composition one also allowed us perform a biochemical experiment preliminary oxidation using Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans bacterial culture adapted composition. use this method process resulted significant reduction by 40%, recovery 87.2%.
